Coming up is World Labyrinth Day on Saturday 7 May, and there will be three labyrinths walked in Armidale on this day!
The first will be a temporary labyrinth being made out of coloured cloths at Armidale City Public School Fete between 9 am and 2 pm.
The second will be the main event at the Civic Park labyrinth nearest to Dangar Street, opposite the Servies club carpark. We will meet at 12:45 pm, and start the community walk at 1 pm. The theme of World Labyrinth Day is “Walk as One at 1 pm” with the intention of acknowledging our unity with one another and the world. Hopefully our new sign will have been installed making it easier to find the labyrinth in the park. Look for the freshly mown grass, as the white dots are somewhat obscured at present. The front of the sign will look like the image below:
The third labyrinth will be walked around 2 pm, at the Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place on Kentucky Street, in the lawn between the Keeping Place and NERAM, the New England Regional Museum.
Join us for any of these – it will be great to share labyrinth walking with you and friends and family.
